STARLIT and Vogue Italia's dinner at Horto Milano

Starlit, like Vogue Italia, loves to imagine a world where women embrace timeless charm and radiate it with their individuality. All about the celebratory event at Horto Milano, a location just a stone's throw from the stars.

Starlit, also translated into Italian, has a beautiful meaning: it literally means illuminated by the stars. And it catapults you to Hollywood, not only on the famous walk of fame. In fact, it makes you think of the names of women who have truly trampled on, inspired and loved Hollywood; just think of icons of the caliber of Audrey Hepburn , Ava Gardner , Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe .

Because all women, yesterday as today and even tomorrow, are starlit , with the desire to own a beautiful dress in their wardrobe to enchant, fascinate, seduce. This is the idea that Summer Prim had, founder and creative director of the Starlit brand, based in Los Angeles - the place where old-time glamour best combines with avant-garde style -, that is, to pay homage to her muses while maintaining their iconic allure but catapulting a new modernity into the spotlight.

Wearable for important occasions, they are creations with a strong empowerment. «Each of my dresses is inspired by women from a bygone era. This aesthetic is as if it were forgotten, it deserved a contemporary reinterpretation - explains the founder - Each piece has meticulous tailoring, is entirely handmade with precious but at the same time functional fabrics. It takes approximately 3 months to make a dress».

A special relationship was born with Vogue . «For these models I took inspiration from the mood of some of the magazine’s services from 1962 and 1963. With Vogue Italia, in the constant search for new brands, we chose to pay homage to this ongoing contemporaneity. Since I was little I have drawn inspiration from magazines, from their mood and I find there is a sort of common thread between my brand and the magazine».

And that is what was celebrated on the evening of September 16, in the setting of Horto, the Michelin-starred restaurant a few steps from the sky, in the heart of Milan. From here you can see the city not only in the shadow of the Madonnina: thanks to the terrace that surrounds the restaurant, you can admire all the beauty of the fashion capital at 360°. A place to be chosen not by chance, with a menu that retraced the heritage of typical cuisine; one above all the yellow Carnaroli risotto with chanterelles.

The Muses of Starlit

Women who wear Starlit know they want to appear elegant and timeless . They are “starlets”, in the best sense of the word, whose attitude will never go out of fashion even with the passing of eras or the succession of aesthetics. In short, this brand has the desire to draw from a legacy that wants to continue to make glamour shine, the one with a capital G, for a long time to come. tale to the stars , interpreted by contemporary muses . That is, by all of us.
